2025 Season – MiniSBK, Cash Class and more
January 3rd,2025 – As the new year kicks off, it is time to start unveiling our plans for the 2025 race season. When RACE Moto acquired the series, the main objective was to bring renewed focus to motorcycle racing at Shannonville Motorsport Park and to continue to develop future champions. RACE Moto hopes these changes will help to build and support grassroots motorcycle racing in Ontario.
Mini SBK Collaboration – RACE Moto to host select MiniSBK events in 2025
In an effort to support the next generation of road racers in Canada, RACE Moto is proud to announce that select MiniSBK and FIM MiniGP Canada events will run alongside the current RACE Moto program.
MiniSBK organizer Toni Sharpless commented, “I was at Shannonville in the 80’s when I met Dave on the track and Jill at registration. As soon as the Grummett’s made the acquisition and RACE Moto series was announced, I knew there would be an alliance between us, involving MiniSBK and possibly FIM MiniGP Canada series as well.”
Dave Grummett from RACE Moto stated, “RACE Moto’s goal is to help establish a strong foundation for the future of our sport. Our collaboration with MiniSBK and FIM MiniGP Canada series aligns with RACE Moto’s vision to grow the sport and we are excited to help build future Canadian champions.”
Sprint Cup – RACE Moto to build competition by making the Sprint Cup a cash class
In an effort to build the competition in the series RACE Moto will be offering a portion of all Sprint Cup entry fee’s as prize money for the round winners – the more entries, the bigger the pay out!
2025 Classes – Class names have been updated for 2025
In an effort to simplify the classes offered, RACE Moto has updated the names to better reflect the models and level of competition.
