Competitors Gear Requirements
All equipment must follow these guidelines. Failure to comply will result in the riders entry being forfeited.
- Any rider competing in an event must use a full-face helmet legally bearing a sticker or QR code confirming the following rating:
- SNELL M 2020
- UNECE 22.05 or 22.06 Type P
- JIS T8133 2015 Type 2 Full face
- Sticker or QR code must be easily visible and clear from damage
- Rider’s helmet must be in new condition, free from any damage, and less than five (5) years old.
- A non-damaged visor must be fitted and secured in a down position on the helmet.
- Cameras and camera mounts are not to be installed on helmets.
- Special purpose one piece, motorcycle road racing suits are required.
- Motorcycle CE Level 2 back protectors are mandatory and must be worn under the racing suit.
- Motorcycle airbag equipped suits and vests are not mandatory but are highly recommended. If the air suit or vest does not incorporate a CE Level 2 back protector a supplemental CE L2 back protector is required.
- Leather gloves must be worn and cover the cuff of the suit sleeve.
- Leather or synthetic boots that sit at least 8” above the ankle and specifically made for motorcycle road racing must be worn.
- Skin shall not be visible on the rider’s body, except for the rider’s neck.
- All of the riders’ equipment mentioned above must be worn whenever they are on the track.
- All of the rider’s personal equipment may be inspected at technical inspection before the rider may take part in any on-track activity.
- If any of the clothing shows excessive wear or damage, the series Official may reject that piece of gear from racing use.
